Renowned religious scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi passed away

 Doha: Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, a well-known Islamic preacher and religious scholar, passed away in Qatar.

According to the Arab media, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi was 96 years old, he was one of the most influential scholars in the Islamic world.

 Hailing from Egypt and living in self-imposed exile in Qatar for decades, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi was considered the intellectual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, the leading Islamic organization in the Arab world.

Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi was also the chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. He was extremely popular in the Arab world. He authored more than 50 books. They were considered big supporters.
