Russia's announcement not to restore gas supply to Europe until sanctions are lifted

Russia has announced that gas supplies to Europe will not be restored until economic sanctions are lifted.

Spokesperson of the Russian Presidential Office, Kremlin, while talking to journalists, said that Western countries, including Germany and Great Britain, have imposed economic sanctions on our country.

The spokesman said that due to these restrictions, Russia is not able to supply gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.

The spokesman said that Russia's full supply of gas from this pipeline depends on the removal of sanctions imposed by the West.

According to the spokesman, we are seeing this situation due to the restrictions of western states.

Earlier on September 2, the Russian company Gazprom announced the indefinite suspension of gas supply from this pipeline.

According to the Russian agency, this decision was made due to malfunctions in the pipeline's tribune.

He said that gas supply has been affected due to Western sanctions, as Western companies are unwilling to repair the pipeline.

It should be noted that this pipeline is very important for Europe's energy needs and various European countries are facing an energy crisis due to gas supply being affected.
