A Kashmiri photojournalist has been barred by India from traveling abroad for the second time

New Delhi: Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Sana Irshad Mattu from Occupied Kashmir has been barred by India from traveling abroad for the second time.

In a Twitter post, Sana Irshad wrote that she was on her way to New York to receive the Pulitzer Prize but was stopped by immigration officials at the Delhi airport.

The photojournalist said that he had a US visa and ticket but still he was not allowed to travel.

He further wrote that I have been stopped from traveling abroad for the second time this year and no reason has been given to me by the government authorities.

In July this year, Sana Irshad was prevented from going to Paris where she was supposed to receive an award and launch her book.

Indian media has claimed with reference to the Jammu and Kashmir Police that the photojournalist's name is included in the 'no-fly list'.
