Amazon announces opening of new corporate office in Riyadh

Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce platform, has announced the opening of its new corporate office in the capital Riyadh for the convenience of its Saudi customers, business partners and employees.

According to Arab News, Amazon's new office in Riyadh's Front Tower will pave the way for attracting more Saudi talent in addition to the more than 1,400 employees it already has.

"We are delighted to open our new office in Riyadh to serve Amazon's customers, vendor partners and employees in the Kingdom, as well as Saudi Vision 2030," said Ronaldo Mochwar, Vice President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa. Accordingly, his commitment to social and economic development is confirmed.

Amazon said in a statement that it is also working on an initiative to empower and train Saudi talent by meeting with employees working in different areas of the company.

While details on the talent program later this year are yet to be announced, Amazon plans to meet and work with homegrown talent to encourage and train potential candidates.
