Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce platform, has announced the opening of its new corporate office in the capital Riyadh for the convenience of its Saudi customers, business partners and employees.
According to Arab News, Amazon's new office in Riyadh's Front Tower will pave the way for attracting more Saudi talent in addition to the more than 1,400 employees it already has.
Amazon said in a statement that it is also working on an initiative to empower and train Saudi talent by meeting with employees working in different areas of the company.
"We talk about hiring architects who will help us innovate and innovate," said Abdo Challa, director of Amazon Mina's Gulf Cooperation Council. This means investing in the right talent and people who are dedicated to continuously improving the customer experience.”
While details on the talent program later this year are yet to be announced, Amazon plans to meet and work with homegrown talent to encourage and train potential candidates.
"We will continue to grow our investments in the Kingdom across a range of sectors, including e-commerce, smart devices and Amazon Pay services, among others," said Ronaldo Mochwar, vice president of Amazon Middle East and North Africa.
Since its launch in 2020, Amazon has introduced a number of local programs and products in the Kingdom. Amazon has also expanded its activities in many business sectors as well as expanding its investments across the country.
