The Saudi Ministry of Environment and Agriculture has said that the kingdom has become self-sufficient in mango production up to 51.7 percent. In different regions, 86.4 thousand tons of mangoes are cultivated annually.
According to the state news agency SPA, due to the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture, many fruits and vegetables that were not cultivated in the kingdom are now being cultivated successfully.

Among the areas of the kingdom where mangoes are grown successfully are the commissionerates of Jazan, Sabia region, Abu Arish, Al-Darb, Samta, Bish, Makkah Mukarramah, including Al-Qunfada, Al-Layth, Azam and Al-Baha region, Al-Mukhwa and Qalwa while Tabuk. In addition to the coastal areas, Asir, Najran, Madinah Munora and some areas of the eastern region are included.
The report of the Ministry of Agriculture further stated that 'mango production in the kingdom starts from April and continues till August, while more than 20 varieties of mangoes are cultivated in different areas, including Kunt, Alphonse, Sukri, Al-Zubada. , Al-Hindi, Al-Jalan, Langra, Joli, Al-Sumkah, Awais, Timur, Ayun Al-Maha, etc.
