Energy crisis, European leaders fail to set prices

European leaders have agreed to deal with the energy crisis caused by the Ukraine war, but there are disagreements in many countries regarding pricing.

According to international news agencies, the leaders of the 27 countries of the European Union gathered in Brussels for a two-day meeting aimed at reducing differences among European countries to deal with the continent's energy crisis.

On the last day of the meeting on Friday, the disagreement over the pricing could not be resolved.

European Council President Charles Michel has said that European leaders have expressed a common commitment to reduce prices and ensure security of supply.

The agenda of the European Council meeting included the energy crisis in Europe, Russia's attack on Ukraine and economic issues.

Europe's energy ministers meet next week and will further discuss the points agreed by European energy leaders.

Europe has either reduced or cut off natural gas supplies to 13 EU member states.

This move by Russia comes after the support of Ukraine by the European governments.

Western countries are supporting Ukraine in the form of arms supply, financial aid and sanctions against Moscow.
