The UAE requires a monthly salary of 30,000 dirhams to issue Golden Iqama to specialists such as doctors, pharmacists, teachers and lawyers.
According to Emirates Today, the Emirates has introduced a new Iqama and visa system. Six conditions of Golden Iqama have been prescribed for experts.
The Emirati authorities say that "one of the conditions of golden status for experts is that the monthly minimum salary of the candidate must be 30 thousand dirhams or its equivalent."
The second condition is that the candidate must have a work permit under an effective contract of employment.
For occupations that require a permit, the candidate must have a permit. They include doctors, pharmacists and teachers.
A candidate for Golden Iqama should have full health insurance while his/her family should also have medical insurance.
The sixth condition is that the candidate fulfills the criteria as per the professional classification set by the Ministry of Manpower and Emiratisation.
Emirati officials say that the category of experts will include experts in higher education, school education, vocational education. Similarly, modern curriculum includes pedagogy experts, disability experts, business management experts, financial analysts, online business, digital marketing, information technology, artificial intelligence, law, socio-cultural experts etc.
It should be remembered that the decision to include teachers in the list of qualified experts for Golden Iqama has been made on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and Training and other institutions of the country.
