Gulf Train Project, Saudi Arabia laid 200 km railway line

 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Railways has said that Saudi Arabia has completed the work of laying 200 kilometers of railway line related to the Gulf railway line.

According to the Subak website, the GCC General Secretariat said in a statement that many countries of the Council have completed the work for the railway project costing 15 billion riyals. Saudi Arabia laid two hundred kilometers of railway line. The remaining work is being completed.

According to the Emirati newspaper Al-Rawiya, it was said that the Emirates has completed the work of laying the railway line to the border of Saudi Arabia. Other member states are taking necessary steps to start the implementation of the railway project.
The General Secretariat says that the project to connect the GCC countries with a railway line will cost about fifteen billion dollars. Work on the project is in progress. The support of international organizations having experience of railway line is also being taken in conducting training program for local youth.

The Gulf Railway line is 2117 km long. It will start from Kuwait. It will go to Bahrain via the Saudi city of Dammam and from Dammam to Qatar via Salvi Check Post.

The railway line from Saudi Arabia will go to the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and from there to Muscat via Sohar.

It should be remembered that the GCC countries are implementing a railway project in the name of Gulf Train.
