In the first match of the group stage of the T20 Cricket World Cup, the Sri Lankan team has been defeated by Namibia in an upset.
The Sri Lankan team, which won the toss and invited Namibia to bat in Geelong, Australia, could not chase down the target and lost by 55 runs.

John Frank of Namibia scored the highest 44 runs. JJ Summit remained unbeaten on 31 runs.
The entire Sri Lankan team returned to the pavilion after scoring 108 runs in 19 overs. Dasan Shanaka is the top scorer for Sri Lanka with 29 runs.
Namibia's David Welle gave away two for 16 runs in four overs while Bernard Schulz gave away two wickets for 18 runs in four overs.
John Frylink scored 26 runs in four overs and Ben Shenkongo took two wickets for 22 runs in three overs.
Eight teams including Sri Lanka and West Indies are competing in the T20 World Cup group stage, four of which will qualify for the next stage Super 12 where there are already eight teams.
