Instagram's decision to further strengthen users' online security

California: Photo-sharing platform Instagram has decided to introduce new features that will help users block misogyny and trolls.

Instagram users will now be able to block all accounts of any person, the Meta subsidiary said.

The feature introduced by Instagram last year has been further expanded. Earlier, under this feature, a new account created by a person could be blocked.

Instagram said in a blog post that initial testing results after the new change showed that the community is now expected to block 4 million accounts per week as these accounts will be blocked automatically. .

The photo-sharing app is taking extreme measures to reduce hate speech and online harassment from its platform.

Instagram has also updated a feature that will prevent users from receiving provocative messages.
