Saudi cabinet meeting, review of important regional and international issues

 The Saudi Cabinet has approved the National Industry Strategy. The new strategy will lead to the promotion of national production and non-oil exports and diversification of economic resources.

According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday in Qasr al-Salam in Jeddah under the chairmanship of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The cabinet expressed its determination to continue to support the international efforts related to peace in Yemen and appealed to the international community to "include the Houthi militia in the category of terrorist organization, boycott it and stop its funding." All sources should be closed'.

It should be noted that Abdulaziz Wasil, the Saudi ambassador appointed to the United Nations, presented the Saudi position last Thursday and said that the international community has a duty to declare the Houthis a terrorist organization.

Regarding the annual address of King Salman bin Abdulaziz from the opening session of Majlis Shura, the Saudi cabinet said that "in the royal address, the Islamic principles of the kingdom's internal and foreign policy and the Saudi Vision 2030 were presented."

King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in his address to Shuri, mentioned the kingdom's international initiatives and policies that support and support the interests of mankind.

The Saudi Cabinet was informed about the contacts and negotiations with the leaders of several countries in the past days.

 Regarding the telephone conversation between the crown prince and the Ukrainian president, the cabinet was told that the kingdom has assured the Ukrainian president that it will support every step taken to de-escalate the Saudi Arabian crisis. And will continue to support and is ready to continue mediation efforts'.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the outcome of the Crown Prince's talks with the President of South Africa and the letter from Morocco.

Minister of State and Cabinet Member and Acting Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Issam bin Saad, told SPA after the meeting that the private sector of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman signed a number of agreements regarding the digital economy and digital government. New horizons of cooperation between the parties will open up.

In the cabinet, many regional and international issues were reviewed, including the establishment of peace in Yemen.

The Cabinet has delegated powers to the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with Kyrgyzstan in the field of environmental protection and the Minister of Economy and Planning to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the Sultanate of Oman in the field of economy and planning.

 A memorandum of understanding in the field of fiber security was approved between Naif University for Security Sciences and Saudi National Authority for Fiber Security.

 The National Small and Medium Enterprises Public Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Department of Statistics and the National Ports Authority have also approved the closing accounts.
