Saudization of 11 more professions including project management, sales and food sector

 The Saudi Ministry of Manpower has expressed its determination to Saudize 11 more professions before the end of this year.

According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the Minister of Manpower and Social Welfare Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi has said that the ministry will issue 11 more new decisions regarding Saudization before the end of this year. Project management, sales and professions in the food and drug sector will also be Saudized.

Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi, speaking to investors at the Riyadh Chamber of Industry and Commerce, said that the number of Saudi employees in the private sector has increased significantly due to the Saudization of various professions, activities and sectors. Their number has crossed 2.13 million.

The unemployment rate among Saudi citizens has decreased to 9.7 percent. The ratio of women's participation in economic activities has reached 35.6 percent.

The Saudi Minister of Manpower said that the private sector is playing a valuable role in providing employment to Saudi citizens. Investors are proving a unique contribution to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He said that the ratio of adherence to the labor law and its implementation plan in the private sector has reached 98 percent this year. The good thing is that more than 74 percent of the problems of the employees are being settled through conciliation outside the courts.

Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi said that the ratio of payment of employees' salaries through banks has reached 80 percent. More than 3.8 million employment contracts have been validated online. Online registration of employment contracts is on the rise. This is a great guarantee for the protection of the rights and duties of the employer and the employee.
