The Prime Minister of Malaysia dissolved the Parliament

 Malaysian Prime Minister Sabri Yaqoob dissolved the parliament.

According to foreign media, Malaysian Prime Minister Sabri Yaqoob announced the dissolution of parliament on Monday, which has paved the way for early elections in the country, as elections must be held within 60 days after the dissolution of parliament.

In an address to the nation on TV, the Malaysian Prime Minister said that he had a meeting with the King yesterday in which he sought permission to dissolve the Parliament, upon which the King accepted the request to dissolve the Parliament.

According to media reports, the Malaysian Prime Minister's announcement came after his own party called for early elections.

It has been mentioned in the media reports that Sabri Yaqoob was facing severe pressure from his party due to which he remained the Prime Minister for the shortest time.
