Top officials of the Joe Biden administration have met with a key Afghan Taliban leader in Qatar.
The American media has reported with reference to sources that after the death of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, the top American officials have met with the Taliban for the first time.
According to the media report, the Deputy Director of CIA and the officials of the US State Department met the Taliban delegation in Doha.
The American media has claimed that the meeting between the American officials and the Taliban delegation took place in Doha on Saturday.
It should be remembered that the spokesperson of the Afghan Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, said in a statement that the US should establish good relations with the current Afghan government. The use of force in Afghanistan has not been successful.
Zabihullah Mujahid said that if America wants stability for its interests in the region, then it should establish positive relations with the Afghan government.
