The Global Fund, an international aid organization, has said that due to climate change, infectious diseases will increase, which will also cause deaths.
According to the French news agency AFP, Peter Sands, director of the Global Fund, said that climate change has had an increasing impact on health this year, while malaria cases have also increased due to an increase in floods and storms.
"Because of the floods in Pakistan, (diseases) have gone to a different level."
During a briefing with the United Nations Correspondents Association, the director of the Global Fund said that even in areas of Africa that were not affected by malaria, the risk of the disease is increasing due to the increase in temperature and the breeding of mosquitoes.
Residents of these areas are also at risk of increased mortality due to lack of immunity against diseases.
Director of the Global Fund, Peter Sands, described the situation as dangerous and said that there has been an increase in diseases other than TB among the displaced people around the world.
He said that when people under extreme pressure live together without food and shelter, diseases like TB get a chance to thrive.
"The more people migrate due to climate change, the more conditions will arise that will cause diseases to flourish."
He said that lack of access to food also increases the risk of people contracting diseases.
Peter Sands says that in the world's poorest communities there are many more deaths from AIDS, TB and malaria than from Corona.
