FIFA World Cup: Security alert in Paris ahead of France-Morocco match

Security in the French capital Paris has been put on high alert ahead of the thorny match between Morocco and France in the second semi-final of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Wednesday night.

Subak said with reference to the French Interior Minister that ten thousand police officers have been mobilized in France. Five thousand of them are stationed in the suburbs of Paris and more than two thousand in the capital.

The French police say that on Wednesday night, security personnel in plain clothes will be deployed in all areas of Paris, the suburbs, especially around the Champs Elysées. No one will be allowed to disturb the law and order situation regarding the match.

France's police said that none of the Champs-Elysées and metro stations in Paris would be closed. The information circulating in this regard is not correct.

It should be remembered that the French team has reached the semi-finals after defeating England.

On the other hand, for the first time in the history of the continent of Africa and the Arab world, an African Arab country, Morocco, is determined to make a new history after reaching the semi-finals.

If we talk about Morocco's journey in this World Cup, then they played three matches in the group round in which they won two matches and one match was drawn.

Morocco's first match against Croatia was a goalless draw, while Morocco beat Belgium 0-2 and Canada 1-2.

In the round of 16, Morocco defeated Spain 0-3 on penalty kicks and exited the tournament, while in the quarter-finals, Morocco defeated Portugal 1-0 to reach the semi-finals.

On the other hand, defending champions France defeated Australia 1-4 in the first round of the FIFA World Cup, while they defeated Denmark 1-2 in their second match.

France suffered an upset defeat at the hands of Tunisia in the last match of the group stage.

In the round of 16, France defeated Poland 1-3, while in the quarter-finals, France defeated England 1-2 to reach the semi-finals. This is the first time that France and Morocco are competing against each other in the FIFA World Cup.

Earlier, the two teams have faced each other seven times in different tournaments, with France winning five times and Morocco winning twice.
