Iran: Oscar-winning film actress arrested for supporting protests

 Tehran: Renowned Iranian actress and feminist activist Tarana Ali Dosti was arrested for supporting the protest movement.

Al-Arabiya reports that Tarana Ali, who has been arrested for recent actions to publish false information and content and spread chaos, has repeatedly announced his support for the protest movement in Iran through his Instagram account.

The actress expressed deep concern over the execution of activist Mohsin Shikari, who participated in the protest movement, and wrote that the international organizations are looking at the bloodshed as an insult to humanity.

Actress Ali Dosti has been one of the most prominent figures in Iranian cinema since she was a teenager, starring in Saeed Rostai's film "Leila and Her Brothers" which was screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Tarana Ali also played an important role in the movie "Salesman". This film was given an Oscar award.

On the other hand, after the death of a 22-year-old girl Mehsa Amini in Iran, the protest movement has entered its fourth month, while those who participated in the protests are being hanged by the government.
