Web series 'Threat to national security', India blocks Pakistani video platform

 The Indian government has blocked a Pakistani video streaming service in the country, citing it as a threat to national security.

According to the Indian newspaper 'The Hindu', the Ministry of Information of India has blocked the Pakistani video streaming service 'Widly TV' across the country for releasing a web series 'Sevak: The Confessions'.

The Indian Ministry of Information has alleged that the websites pose a threat to India's "national security, integrity, defence, state security and friendly relations with other countries".

According to 'Da Hindu', three episodes of the web series 'Sevak: Da Confessions' have been uploaded so far on 'Widley TV'.

The Indian Ministry of Information has also alleged that it suspects Pakistan's hand in making and releasing the web series.

Note that the web series 'Sevak: The Confessions' depicts events in India from 1984 to 2022 involving extremist elements in India.

The cast of this web series includes Adnan Jafar, Nayir Ijaz, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Hajra Yameen.
