Foreigners are prohibited from visiting Makkah without permission during the Hajj season

 Saudi Arabia has issued guidelines for foreigners visiting Makkah during the Hajj season.

According to the statement released on the website of the Haramin Sharifeen Mosque, starting today, foreigners residing in Saudi Arabia will not be able to visit Makkah without a Hajj permit. Hajj permits will be checked at check posts going to Makkah.

According to the statement, a foreigner who does not have a Hajj permit issued by the relevant institutions will not be allowed to enter Makkah. This ban will not apply to foreigners who have an Iqama, Umrah or Hajj permit issued by Makkah.
