The Saudi Public Transport Authority has warned that numerous taxi violations will be recorded online. The first phase will start from the capital Riyadh.
According to newspaper 24, the Public Transport Authority says that by stopping the taxis, it will be checked whether the operational card is effective or it has expired.It will also check if the taxi driver has a special driving card. The operational card of the vehicle will also be seen.
It may be recalled that the Public Transport Authority had earlier said that violations of public transport would be recorded under automated system.
Violations of buses and trucks will also be recorded in the next phase.
The Transport Authority said that the registration of violations is being done in collaboration with the Traffic Safety Program.
