Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Chief Executive Officer of the Holy Mosque in Saudi Arabia, has inaugurated the Black Stone Virtual Initiative.
It aims to provide an "real-world" environment for the Black Stone to be viewed, kissed and felt with the help of VR technology and digital experiments.According to the official SPA news agency, Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais said that the digital exhibition was introduced by Umm Al-Qura University in collaboration with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Hajj and Umrah Research Institute.
He said that a real environment has to be provided for viewing the Black Stone with eyes, ears, nose and senses in a virtual way so that those who look at the Black Stone through modern technology can find themselves in the Masjid-ul-Haram with their whole being. Feel in front of the Kaaba and as many people as possible can fulfill their dream in this regard.
He said that Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabawi in Madinah are rich in great religious and historical treasures.
The Saudi government, with the help of modern technology, is presenting a "fictional scenario" in a way that makes it look real. The Black Stone and its surroundings are being made possible by virtual systems.
