The decision to send warplanes and fighter jets to the UAE was made after a telephone conversation between US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy in the UAE.
