The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has arrived in India on an official visit where he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials.
Boris Johnson arrived in Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat on Thursday and will leave for Delhi on Friday, according to AFP.
In Gujarat, besides meeting businessmen, he will also visit historical places of Ahmedabad city.
Upon his arrival in India, Boris Johnson visited the Subarmati Ashram, the residence of Mahatma Gandhi in Gujarat.
Keep in mind that most of the Indian citizens residing in the UK are from Gujarat.
According to the British Prime Minister's Office, Downing Street, investment agreements worth over ارب 1 billion will be signed during the visit to India, which will create 11,000 jobs in the UK.
Before leaving for India, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the visit would deepen the strategic, trade, defense and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
According to Downing Street, new partnerships are expected in the fields of defense, artificial intelligence and green energy during the visit to India, while agreements will also be signed for the launch of robotics, electric vehicles and satellite.

Boris Johnson said in a statement that the power plant partnership with India has created jobs and created opportunities for people to grow.
India, on the other hand, has refused to explicitly condemn Russia's attack on Ukraine.
Keep in mind that India imports fuel, agriculture and military equipment from Russia.
Earlier, the British Foreign Secretary visited India last month, where he called for action against Russia, but received no significant response from the host government.
