KARACHI: Pakistani-born British boxer and former world champion Aamir Khan has quit the sport, saying it was time to hang up his gloves.
According to Express News, international boxer Aamir Khan has announced to quit boxing. Boxer Aamir Iqbal Khan, 35, said: "It's time to hang up my gloves. I consider myself lucky to have had a fantastic 27-year career in this sport that I have always dreamed of."
"As a 17-year-old, I fulfilled my dream of winning an Olympic medal for my country and becoming a two-time world boxing champion. Boxing has given me a high place and given me a platform that I am proud of," he said. Also used to help and encourage others.
Aamir Khan thanked his co-workers from the bottom of his heart and also thanked his family, friends and fans for their love and support.
It should be noted that Aamir Khan, who has been a professional boxer for a long time, had won the title of World Boxing Association in the category of light welterweight from 2009 to 2012.
