Russia, Gulf countries united on Ukraine crisis: Prince Faisal bin Farhan

Addressing a joint ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Russia in Riyadh on Wednesday, he said "the stability of Yemen is an inseparable part of peace in the Gulf."

He also accused the West of putting pressure on Ukraine to endanger Russia's security.

"The GCC countries understand the nature of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and the Gulf states have assured us that they will not side with the West in imposing sanctions on Moscow," he said.

He also accused Western countries of violating the UN Charter and demanded the withdrawal of heavy weapons from Ukraine.

Moscow also supports Saudi Arabia's proposed Arab formula for a Palestinian state.
