Facebook and Instagram announce increase in posts on users' feeds

California: Meta's subsidiaries Instagram and Facebook are going to dramatically increase the number of posts on their users' feeds from people they don't follow.

According to Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg, the amount of content suggested by artificial intelligence and content coming from people, groups or accounts that will not actually appear at will will double by the end of 2023. will

He said that the company was going to build a 'discovery engine' that was meant to show people other types of content.

Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement during Meta's difficult economic conditions. This is the first time in history that Meta's revenue has declined, citing a weak economy, less money spent on advertising and competition from TikTok.

But the announcement by Zuckerberg comes at a time when there is controversy over the steps taken by Instagram. A viral movement was launched in the past few days urging Instagram to stop trying to become TikTok.

Mark Zuckerberg said that currently about 15 percent of the content on a user's Facebook feed comes from suggestions. While on Instagram, this number is slightly higher.
