Srinagar: Unidentified armed men attacked a check post of the Indian security forces in Occupied Kashmir, as a result of which an officer was killed.
According to Indian media, armed men stormed a check post in Pulwama district. The armed men opened fire indiscriminately in which two officials were seriously injured. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Central Reserve Police Force, it is said that the injured sub-inspector Vinod Kumar was brought dead to the hospital, while the condition of the other injured officer is said to be out of danger.
After the incident, the Indian Army surrounded the area and started a house-to-house search to find the attackers, but no arrests could be made.
A few days ago, a police check post was attacked in Occupied Kashmir in which an inspector was killed and two officials were injured. Even in that incident, the attackers could not be caught by the Indian security forces.
