Sri Lanka; 3 protesters who stole gold items from the presidential palace were arrested

 Colombo: Sri Lankan police arrested 3 protesters red-handed selling gold items stolen from the presidential palace.



According to the World News Agency, the Sri Lankan police detained 3 protesters. Those arrested are accused of stealing precious gold items from the presidential palace and selling them.


According to the police, these persons have been arrested red-handed and more than 40 valuable items have been recovered from their possession. The accused were handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department.

It should be noted that on July 19, thousands of protesters stormed the presidential palace and the prime minister's private residence and set fire to it, after which the president resigned.
