According to the caretaker body of the two holy shrines, the shroud of the Kaaba will be changed on the first of Muharram. Every year on the ninth of Dhu al-Hajj, the shroud of the Ka'bah is changed. However, in view of the large number of pilgrims this year, it has been decided to change the shroud of the Ka'bah on the first of Muharram.
On the other hand, the Commander of Hajj Security said in a media briefing that security forces have set up security fences at the holy places to ensure discipline during the Hajj and to avoid any untoward situation. Violators will be prosecuted.
