President Biden said he had authorized a special drone operation inside Afghanistan last week to ensure that no civilians, including members of Al-Zawahiri's family, were harmed.
Earlier on August 11, Zabihullah Mujahid had said in an interview that the Taliban had failed to reach Zawahiri's body, as no trace of him had been found so far and the Taliban were unaware of his presence at the site.
He further said that this case has different dimensions. An investigation is underway. When these investigations are complete, we will announce the results.
