'Five have been killed for cow slaughter', BJP leader claims

Rajasthan leader Gyandev Ahuja, who belongs to India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has said that "we have killed five people so far" over cow slaughter.

According to Indian TV NDTV, a video of Giandev has surfaced in which he is referring to the mob killings in Lalawindi and Behror.

The first of these two incidents took place in 2017 and the second in 2018 in Ramgarh, the constituency from which Gyandev was elected MLA and was ruled by the BJP.

It was not immediately clear where three more of the five murders he mentioned were related to.

In the video statement, he is saying that 'I have given free hand to kill workers, we will get them (workers) out on bail.'

The video is believed to be from earlier this week.

All the six accused in the Pehlu Khan murder case were released on bail in 2019, but the application against them by the Congress government of the state is still pending in the High Court.

Similarly, the Rakbar Khan murder case is still going on in the local court.

Giandev's video went viral on Saturday and a case was registered against him for creating communal tension.

He had made statements earlier too, in which he called the killers 'patriots' and 'true descendants of Chhatrapati Shivji and Guru Gobind Singh'.

Following the recent statement, BJP's Alwar chief Sanjay Singh Naruka today termed his statement as his 'personal views' and has nothing to do with the party.

However, even after this, Gyandev Ahuja has defended his stand and said that 'any person involved in cow smuggling and slaughter will not be spared.'

He also changed his previous statement and said that "I said that five Muslims were beaten up by our workers for smuggling cows."

In the video, Giandev Ahuja also mentioned the appeal of another man, whom he described as an RSS leader, against the killing of 45-year-old Charanji Lal, who was mobbed last Sunday for stealing a tractor. was killed

BJP leaders say it was a religious killing, but the police have not found any such evidence.

Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dutsara, who shared the video on Sunday, said, "Need any more proof of BJP's bigotry and terrorism?" The real face of BJP has been exposed.

Pehlu Khan, 55, was killed by a mob in Bahrur in 2017 while Rakbar Khan was killed in Lala Windi in 2018.

Both these areas are located near Haryana where majority of Muslim population resides and most of them are involved in milk business.

They are carrying the cattle which were attacked by the cow protectors.
