 Ghalib Kamil, the first announcer and journalist of Saudi TV Channel One, passed away on Saturday after a long illness.

Ghalib Kamil is considered among the founders of the broadcasting sector in the country.

According to Urgent News, Ghalib Kamal was ill for a long time. His son Raed Ghalib shared the news of his father's death on Twitter and wrote, "It is with tears in my eyes that I am announcing the death of my dear father Ghalib Kamil".

Ghalib Kamal, the first announcer of Saudi TV, was born in 1941. He is considered one of the leading TV announcers in Saudi Arabia.

Among his associates are the well-known Anawsir Majid Al-Bul, Abdul Rahman Yaghmor, Sulaiman Al-Aesi and Hussain Al-Najjar.

According to Al-Arabiya Net, Ghalib Kamal was transferred from Jordan to a Riyadh hospital for treatment.
