Those going to Qatar to watch FIFA World Cup matches will be able to enter the UAE many times thanks to the 'Hiya' visa program.
According to Arab News, the announcement made by the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday also stated that for just $27, anyone can apply for the 'Hiya Card' starting September 1.
This initiative is being taken by the Emirates to support Qatar on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup.
Fans are being issued a 90-day tourist visa, which includes permission to enter the UAE, to watch the matches.
Wam News Agency says that the federal authorities of the UAE have explained that anyone can enter as many times as they want for 90 days from the date of issue.The WAM report also states that the 90-day period can be extended subject to the conditions of the visa system and according to the fee.
The news agency also quoted officials as saying that citizens of visa-exempt countries do not need to apply for a Haya Card as they can enter and stay in the UAE multiple times.
'Hiya Card' holders can apply for Multiple Entry Tourist Visa using 'Smart Channels' and 'Public Services' through the website www.icp.gov.ae.
