Hungary: The head of the meteorological department was fired for wrong forecast

 In the European country of Hungary, the head of the meteorological department was fired from his job for wrongly predicting the weather.

According to foreign media reports, the country had an official holiday on the occasion of St. Stephen's Day and on that day, Europe's biggest firework display was supposed to be held on that day, but 7 hours before the scheduled time, the Meteorological Department warned of severe weather. Due to which the ceremony was postponed.

According to the report, 40,000 fireworks were to be lit in the event, which were prepared at a distance of 500 km from the event venue.

However, despite the warning from the Meteorological Department, the weather remained perfect after which the government sacked the chief and deputy chief.

Later, the Meteorological Department predicted that the direction of rains and storms had changed, but by then it was too late.
