India has announced the team for Asia Cup 2022

 New Delhi: India has announced the squad for the Asia Cup 2022 starting from the end of this month.

According to the Indian Cricket Board, Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian cricket team in Asia Cup 2022 while KL Rahul will be the vice-captain.

Other players include Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant wicketkeeper, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik wicketkeeper, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnu, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arsdeep Singh and Ayush Khan.

Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patil are out of the squad due to injuries while 3 Kharidians are being brought in as reserves.

India's first match in Asia Cup 2022 will be on August 28 against arch-rivals Pakistan.

It should be noted that the Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the T20 format from August 27 to September 11, hosted by Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates.
