Instagram is going to introduce a new feature called 'Candid Challenge'

California: Photo-sharing app Instagram is going to introduce a new feature called Candid Challenge, which is largely similar to an app called 'Be Real'.

Be Real is a French application in which users receive a notification from the app every day at any time of the day, according to which users have to take a picture and upload it within two minutes. The purpose of this app is to know how your friends on the platform are really doing.

The Instagram feature, which has yet to be rolled out, was identified by Alessandro Pelosi, a developer known for reverse-engineering applications and discovering early versions of upcoming updates.

An Instagram spokesperson confirmed the feature but declined to provide any details.

According to Alessandro, Instagram users participating in candid challenges will receive a notification at a different time each day to take a photo of their side.

After receiving the notification, the Instagram camera will open with a shooter on the front and back, and users will have two minutes to take a photo. Content shared through challenges will appear in the Stories tray.
