Pakistan's airspace used in Kabul drone attack: Taliban alleges

Acting Defense Minister of the Taliban in Afghanistan has alleged that Pakistan's airspace was used for the drone attack in the capital Kabul.

Acting Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob, in a press conference in Kabul on Sunday, accused Pakistan's airspace of being used for the drone attack, according to Reuters. Pakistan has already strongly denied these allegations.

On August 5, the Director General of the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, Major General Babar Iftikhar, said that there is no question of using Pakistan's borders in the US drone attack on Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Hum News, the spokesperson of ISPR said that "Foreign Office has clearly said on this issue and the Ministry of Interior has also issued a clarification statement on it."

On August 2, President Joe Biden said in his address to the White House that "American intelligence officials tracked Ayman al-Zawahiri to a house in Kabul where he was hiding with his family."

Acting Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob added that "According to our information, drones enter Afghanistan through Pakistan, Pakistan's airspace is being used."

We demand Pakistan not to use its airspace against Afghanistan.
