Saudi weightlifter Siraj Al Saleem won three more medals for Saudi Arabia at the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey.
According to Arab News, Siraj Al Saleem bagged three silver medals in the 61kg division when he scored 123kg in the snatch category, 154kg in the clean and jerk and a total of 277 points to finish second.Saudi Arabia's medal tally so far stands at 15, including one gold, 10 silver and four bronze medals.
Siraj Al Saleem's teammate Nawaf Al Mazidi finished seventh in the under-67 kg event with a total of 296 points. (136 kg in snitch category and 160 kg in clean and jerk.)
In the women's weightlifting competition, Saudi Arabia's Al Anoud Al Shehri finished sixth in the 59 kg division with 141 points, a new individual record.
In the ongoing Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey, Saudi Arabia reached the semi-finals of the handball competition after drawing 27-27 with Qatar in their last group match.
In the first semi-final, Saudi Arabia will face host Turkey on Sunday evening, while in the second semi-final, Qatar will face Iran.
