A fine of 3000 riyals for erecting barriers for parking outside the building

The spokesman of Jeddah Municipality in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Al-Baqmi, has said that the road is for everyone. No one's private property. Building owners do not have the right to erect barriers outside their buildings to prevent someone from parking a car.

According to Akaz newspaper, the spokesman of the municipality said that the municipality will remove the barriers erected in front of any building and a fine of 3000 riyals will be charged for erecting barriers.

Legal advisor Saif Al-Hakmi says that the owner of the house will be determined from the limits of Arbaa mentioned in the ownership document. The ownership document specifies the length and breadth of the owner's plot.

The legal advisor said that it is generally believed that the person parking outside the building is the owner of the building, although this is not true, but the space outside the building belongs to the common good. Come there, he can park the car.'

Saif-ul-Hakmi further said that parking of any building whose ownership is proved by a document will be exempted from this rule. It cannot be brought within the public parking area. Some building owners leave a portion of their plot outside the building for parking at the time of construction. It does not come under public parking, it belongs to the owner of the building.
