A gang of counterfeit currency notes was arrested in Riyadh

 Riyadh Police has arrested a gang of fake currency note makers.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the aforementioned group used an apartment in Riyadh as a forgery hideout.

The police have said that 'on receiving a tip-off, the aforesaid abode was monitored and it was believed that something illegal was going on here.'

After close monitoring of the people involved, it was found that they are trying to spread fake notes in the market.

The police have said that "a raid was conducted on the hideout in collaboration with several government agencies, and a number of fake notes and items used for forgery were recovered from there."

Four persons involved in forgery of notes were arrested. The above persons are Saudi citizens. They are being investigated and will be handed over to the public prosecutor after completing the procedure.
