Immigration laws in Saudi Arabia are clear. Juzaat is responsible for foreigners' residence card 'Iqama' and exit re-entry 'Izhur wawadah' or final exit which is called 'Izhur Nahai' in Arabic.
According to the Juzaat Law, there is no fee for final exit, whereas there is a fee for exit re-entry, which is charged on a monthly basis.

Answering the question, Juzaat said that according to the law, a person coming on a visit visa cannot become an iqama. It is necessary to extend the visit visa before its initial period expires.
"After the extension, before the expiry of the maximum period, those who come on visit visa should return to their country on time so as not to face any kind of problem".
It should be noted that in the case of women coming on a visit visa giving birth here, the father of the new-born makes an exit pass from the embassy or consulate of his country, after which the exit of the new-born from the immigration institution is made by showing the birth certificate issued by the hospital.
Regarding the period of Iqama, a person inquired, "Those who come to new Iqama for the first time can also make Iqama for 3 months or will it be made for one year"?
In response to the question, Juzaat said that "According to the law, the facility has been given for foreign workers belonging to the commercial sector in the state that they can obtain Iqama for three, six, nine and twelve months".
The phase-in facility for issuance or renewal of residence is only for resident workers on commercial visas. This facility is not applicable to domestic workers.
It should be noted that for commercial workers, the work permit is issued by the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare before the issuance of Iqama.
Iqama will be issued for the same period as the work permit is issued. Those expatriates who are living in the Kingdom with their families and want to renew their family's Iqama for 6 months instead of one year, in this case, they should ensure that before renewing Iqama, they Also renew the work permit for 6 months.
If the agricultural permit is issued for one year, in this case, the Iqama fee for the family must also be submitted in one lump sum for one year, otherwise the Iqama will not be renewed.
Work permit fee for 6 months will also be renewed for 6 months, in this case the family fee will also have to be submitted for 6 months only.
