Britain's new King Charles is sworn in

 LONDON: Britain's new king, Charles III, formally took the oath of office.

Britain's King Charles III was formally sworn in at a ceremony at St James's Palace in London. His wife Queen Camilla and eldest son Prince William also attended the swearing-in ceremony of the new British king.

King Charles signed the oath documents after being sworn in. 200 important personalities also participated in the event. Charles has assumed the position of king after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The new King of Great Britain, Charles, paid tribute to his late mother, the Queen of Great Britain, in his swearing-in ceremony speech. He also paid tribute to his wife Queen Camilla.

Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain died yesterday at the age of 96.
