Ottawa: Canada has announced an additional two and a half million dollars in aid for flood-affected people in Pakistan, bringing the total aid to $30 million.
According to the World News Agency, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced an additional 25 million dollars in aid for flood victims in Pakistan in the form of food, clean water and other essential items.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Pakistan is facing its worst floods in history and that Canada will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Pakistan by collecting 30 million in funds until September 28.
The Canadian government has decided to increase the aid for the flood victims of Pakistan after the visit of its Minister for International Development and Pacific Economic Development Agency Harjit Sajjan to Pakistan.
Harjit Sajjan said his country cannot forget the people affected by the floods, especially women, who were disproportionately affected. We are also considering other ways to help those affected by this tragedy.
On this occasion, Harjit Sajjan also announced to give 20 million dollars in aid to eradicate polio in Pakistan through the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
