China's indigenously developed aircraft is ready to take off against Boeing and Airbus

Aviation regulators have given the go-ahead for China's first domestically produced large aircraft.

The French news agency AFP quoted Chinese local media as saying that Beijing hopes the Chinese passenger plane will compete with the Boeing 737 Max and Airbus A320 models.

China's state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China has developed the C919 passenger plane.

The Chinese government has formally approved it and a ceremony was held at the Beijing Capital Airport on Thursday in this regard.

The aircraft is manufactured locally in China, but most of its components are imported.

China is the second largest aviation market in the world. This aircraft has been approved in China, but it has not yet received a green signal from the United States and European institutions.

The company will need another license to produce more aircraft of this type.

China Eastern Airlines, China's second largest airline, has said it will introduce four more C919s in May.

Chinese media has said that the planes will be handed over to China Eastern at the end of this year. It will start working in the first quarter of 2023.

China's state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corps of China said it had received 815 orders from 28 customers.

Several Chinese airlines have placed orders for more than 300 Airbus planes, the European aircraft maker said.
