Claiming great success; Ukraine repels Russian troops in Kharkiv

Kyiv: Ukraine has claimed that its army forced the Russian army to retreat from Kharkiv, while Russia says that it withdrew its forces voluntarily as part of a strategy.

According to the international news agency, Russian troops have withdrawn from two important areas of Kharkiv, Ukraine, Balaklia and Izum. Kharkiv was occupied by the Russians since March this year, but they are also facing fierce resistance from the Ukrainian army.

In this regard, the parties have made conflicting claims. The Russian Ministry of Defense says that it has withdrawn its troops from the Balaklia and Uzum regions of Kharkiv as part of a strategy in order to reorganize its military forces in Ukraine and speed up the operation on Donetsk.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian army declared this operation as the biggest success in the 6-month war and claimed that the eastern region of Kharkiv has been largely occupied by the Russian army. Due to strong resistance, the Russian army was forced to retreat in these areas.

The spokesman of the Ukrainian army further said that the country's forces have advanced and reached the eastern city of Lyschank, where the Russian army has been occupying since July this year, and now they will force the Russian army to flee from this city as well.

Military experts are calling this advance of the Ukrainian army a great success. They say that the Russian army had a strong hold on the eastern part of Kharkiv, which the Ukrainian army managed to break.

The global news agency Reuters analyzed that due to the unexpected advance of the Ukrainian forces in Kharkiv, the Russian army had no choice but to retreat from the city of Izum.

It should be noted that the eastern city of Kharkiv, Uzum, was being used by the Russian army as a "logistics base" for the delivery of arms, ammunition and essential goods.
