The United States has imposed new sanctions on Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and Security and its minister.
According to the British news agency Reuters, the United States imposed the sanctions on Friday, accusing Iran of carrying out cyber attacks on Albania in July.

The move by the US comes at a time when Albania cut diplomatic ties with Iran on Wednesday and blamed Iran for the cyber attack in July this year.
It should be remembered that after this incident, Albania allowed Iranian diplomats and embassy staff to leave the country within 24 hours.
The US Department of the Treasury said in a statement that the Department of Intelligence and Security directs multiple cyber threat networks. These networks also include individuals involved in attacks such as cyber espionage and hacking software for ransom in support of Iran.
