Existence of polio virus revealed in New York, disaster emergency implemented

 Washington: A disaster emergency was imposed after the presence of polio virus was revealed in the American state of New York.

According to American media, Governor Cathy Hoechl has declared a disaster emergency in the state after the polio virus was found in sewage samples in 4 counties of New York.

U.S. officials say that people living in these four counties who have not received the polio vaccine may be infected with polio. Pharmacists, midwives and EMS workers will be recruited.

After a decade, the first case of polio was reported in New York last month. After 2013 in the United States, a young person who was not vaccinated against polio was infected with the polio virus.
