First case of monkeypox confirmed in Bahrain

 The Bahraini Ministry of Health says the first case of monkeypox has been confirmed. Monkeypox virus was found in a foreigner who came from abroad.

Bahraini news agency 'Bana' has further said with reference to the Ministry of Health that a 29-year-old foreigner who came from abroad had symptoms of monkeypox.

The virus was confirmed on the foreigner's laboratory test. The patient is immediately isolated and provided with prescribed treatment.

The Bahraini Ministry of Health further said that with the first case of monkeypox in the world, the Ministry is taking precautionary measures under the prescribed regulations. In this regard, the safety of citizens and resident foreigners is the first priority of the Ministry.

To prevent monkey pox, instructions are issued by the Ministry of Health to take preventive measures, by following which one can be protected from the deadly disease.
