India squad announced for T20 World Cup, Bumrah returns

 India have announced their 15-member squad for the ICCT20 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in the T20 World Cup starting from October 16 in Australia.

The Indian team was announced on Monday by the Indian Cricket Board on social media website Twitter.

Two changes have been made in the Indian team to play the Asia Cup for the T20 World Cup.

Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are back in place of Avish Khan and Ravi Bishnoi.

Captain Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team for the first time in any ICC event while KL Rahul will be the vice-captain of the team.

Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Akshar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arsdeep Singh .

Mohammad Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Chehar have been kept on standby in the team.


The Indian team will play their first match in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on October 23, while they will play against the qualifying team on October 27, South Africa on October 30, Bangladesh on November 2 and the qualifying team on November 6. .

India was earlier knocked out of the tournament in the 2021 T20 World Cup in the first stage.
