Australian white ball cricket team captain Ern Finch has announced his retirement from short-format international cricket, but he will play next month's T20 World Cup, which will be played on Australian grounds.
According to the news agency AFP, 35-year-old Ern Finch announced his retirement from ODIs due to the worst performance in the recent one-day series.
They will play their last ODI against New Zealand on Sunday.
Ern Finch has played 145 ODIs in which he has scored 5401 runs at an average of 39.

Ern Finch, who captained Australia in 54 matches, said about his cricket career, "It has been a great journey with extraordinary memories."
He said that I was lucky to be a part of the best ODI team in the world. In the same way, he was with all those people with whom he was in the field and some people stayed with him even in the background.
He will take to the field to defend his T20 World Cup title in Australia from October 22 next month, but has been bowled out in three of the last seven ODIs, while scoring a total of 26 runs in the remaining four.
Despite this performance, he was expected to captain the team in the ODI World Cup next year, but he announced his retirement from limited overs cricket.
